Raw Foods Boost Energy

farmers-marketRaw Food’s Nutritional Value is top of the line when it comes to weight loss, nutrition, and digestibility!

And . . . Green vegetables are nutrient dense, water rich, and naturally low in calories.

You might agree on an intellectual level that eating raw foods is a good idea and will nourish your body better than cooked processed foods.

Many people don’t get enough vegetables or fruits in their day to day eating. Does the thought of abandoning a lifetime of eating habits for the sake of what seems like a good idea seem like more than you can do?

For many it is. So don’t! Don’t think of restricting yourself to “rabbit food”.

That’s silly and the surest way to guarantee you won’t even give raw foods nutrition a fighting chance. Better health is not achieved overnight, neither will be lifestyle change. Mistakes will be made. Adjustments will be sometimes difficult. Just keep tweaking…

Do “Everything in moderation”. It’s guaranteed not healthy if you don’t do it at all!

fruits-and-vegetablesWe think if you add in things like raw vegetables, sprouts, fruits and juices gradually into your menu plans, you won’t be as hungry.

When you’re not hungry, you won’t be as apt to give into impulsive eating, or cravings.

When you get enough of the proper nutrients, you will find that you are satiated with less food in total.

If you want that steak, or even a McDonald’s hamburger, plan for it and enjoy it. Once you start adding more raw foods with your meals though, you will notice how good you feel and how much more energy you have.

Some of those habitual meals will become ex-favorites. They just won’t look as good to you anymore. This is a fact. We have seen this time after time.

Eating more raw foods doesn’t mean eating only raw foods, although once you see how your energy explodes, you will probably consume less cooked foods, certainly less processed products.

If you try this you will feel an immediate energy boost because raw foods take very little digestive energy, which frees up more energy for you to use otherwise.

You’ll have to consume more than normal to compensate for lacking the more concentrated cooked foods. Nothing wrong with that… 🙂

different-varieties-raw-foodsOne way to ensure that you are getting enough nutrients and lots of variety is to incorporate a new vegetable every week.

Buy one thing you have never heard of, like a “leek”, or “swiss chard each week.” Try something different with it.

You will find a whole new world of tastes and textures open up to you. You will have more energy and better health because of it. Go for it, try adding more raw foods to your diet and see the difference it makes to your day.
